I’ve always thought of myself as a non-violent person. I’m not too fond of the State killing citizens, and I’ve never been in favor of capital punishment.
But after watching the Netflix Limited Series about John Wayne Gacy, I’ve had a change of heart. I realized that I’m not a pacifist after all.
Gacy was a serial killer who killed at least 33 young boys. Listening to his tapes and hearing his lack of remorse was unnerving.
Watching the series made me realize that some people deserve to die. And I’m glad that Gacy got the death penalty.
Although it didn’t bring back his victims, knowing that he was gone and that he got punished for what he did felt good.
This series opened my eyes to the reality that some people deserve capital punishment.
